Just wanted to say thanks for this-not only was it well thought out and documented, but some how I had missed all of these stories. I started reading the essay 1st and stopped and went to read the stories. Came back and read the essay again and it was like putting my glasses on. I felt a little like I was in class, and that's always a fun thing for me.

WNG is one of my favorite tropes, so I really enjoyed the dissection of the stories and how they fit or didn't into that mold.
