Seriously, though, I do think that all three of them play in that same complicated playground of determinism and choice, acknowledge biologically based desires yet are aware of consciously chosen communities. I guess if I'd wanted to make a broader point, I might have reversed order of discussion to start with the biological and end with the utterly queer voluntarism?
