I have a really hard time with medical shows, because I've worked in a hospital for years and I *know* how things work. Every time I see a TV doctor drawing blood or performing any sort of test/procedure I know damned good and well real doctors *never* do, it makes me a little bit crazy--kicks me right out of the story, so to speak. :)

I could probably overlook the donut thing, simply because there are so many plausible explanations, and really for me the point would be Rodney eating junk food anyway. Things that are outright canon contradictions can kick me out of the story (if I notice them), if only because of my brain bringing the reading flow to a halt while it 'helpfully' points out the difference.
