The simple real world facts one always gets me, and I am a Smallville veteran, so I've had that same experience of watching a show and going WTF? all the time. It was a true champion of the genre. Sometimes I'm grateful that SGA is off in the Pegasus Galaxy, so that I can handwave things away.
