i was saying above that the story doesn't resonate to many as slash maybe b/c the slash tropes are missing? [insofar as he actually is living and functioning without John, eeking out a life for himself with and possibly around John's loss but not existing until he can join him in death kind of stuff...]
And yes, I agree with everything you say! I think I read quite a few commenters as reading it as a Rodney mourns for Johnstory and that was in part what caused the above post...I don't think it's as easy as he's over it either, though. I think he's found a way to live with it and that's where we find him...
